Zoom Lesson Crazy Things (2)

Chp. 4

It’s past Christmas now, January 6th. Again, Zoom lesson. Uh! Soooooooooooooooo long? Well, yeah, because of the Covid. Still here, still Zoom (that’s what the EDB said). Can’t even go out of the house! But anyways, at least we still have lessons.

I am a bit tired, not because of having Zoom lessons, instead, it’s because I had a New Year party with my family. Yes, we all know there is this Covid thing, but we’re all safe, because it’s just my family members: Mom, Dad, and of course, me. Just three people, but two days of celebration. And also, we had a party for Christmas, three days long. That’s the reason why I’m soooooooooooooooo tired.

Now, celebration is over, studying starts. It’s again Zoom, again Didado’s nonsense shouting every day. I actually wonder if his parents or domestic helper will ever hear him shouting. So there, shouting again is Didado, “Christmas is over, school is beginning and it is Chinese New Year that is coming to town!” “Do I HAVE to hear you shouting every time I am not speaking or when teachers are changing classrooms???” asked my teacher. Quite funny, but really, it’s telling Didado to STOP shouting, but he just shouted again, “Yes, you need to hear me shouting!” No one can stop him, but teachers can mute only him. He doesn’t really listen to the teachers, so, whatever the teachers say, he will never listen. And that goes for Sam as well; just that Didado’s mischief is different from Sam. Sam uses punches; Didado uses his loud & dramatic voice. (Both are superb annoying)

So I did what I have to do, take my earphones away from my ears until there is a sign that he is NOT shouting. After about a minute or two, he stopped. Whew! Hearing Didado shouting, your ears are as painful as when you are standing next to a plane without any ear protectives. I started the school day peacefully, but who stopped me? Didado! He is always shouting!!!

Chp. 5

Every time I want to unmute myself today, Zoom says it cannot find any camera. Quite strange, isn’t it? Well, the thing is, Zoom IS quite strange lately. Turn on camera, no microphone. Turn on Microphone, no camera. My camera is always plugged in, but no camera? Strange. I hoped my parents could deal with it by tmr, but I still have to have lessons, so I just turned off both microphone and camera, but my teacher remote controlled my microphone and camera. She can turn on both, but I can’t turn on either of them. Another strange thing. My teacher asked me why I didn’t turn on my camera, and I told her because I couldn’t. She accepted and told me I could turn off my camera and microphone, but I have to answer her questions. It’s totally fine with me, because I like to answer question. She said I could use the chat function for now and so I used her advice and typed everything to her with the chat function.

The next day, my microphone was too loud and I couldn’t use it easily. So I have to use another microphone, which is unusable, because there is some other problem, the microphone is useless as well. So I am stuck with a loud microphone. Then I will be louder than Didado, which I did. Everyone hated me to just unmute.

So I couldn’t unmute, which means I am going to continue to use the chat function. I had used it for a whole day and I got bored typing the answers, but what can I do? So I had to do it. I typed everything, and when I told my teacher that I was tired of typing, I got a reply like this: “It helps you to type faster. Your computer teacher told me that your typing speed is too slow, so that’s why this typing practice helps you.” Then I was messaged that the microphone problem was entirely my teacher’s plan to help me type faster. And you know what? It did help a lot, typing this much answers and questions to my teacher. I normally don’t type this fast. I normally DON’T type. I liked to draw and I like to write. But that was before, now I like to type more than write, but it’s neither because my pen is always having some problem, nor is it because the font is more beautiful than my handwritten cursives. It’s because I am superb lazy. I don’t want to write, and then scans, then press submit. If I type, I don’t have to scan. Also, I think putting your hand on the keyboard is less tired, because you can always stop just by putting your hand away from the keyboard, instead of putting down your pen, then rest. So I am grateful of what my teacher did for me. She changed back the settings to normal and now I can talk normally. Hopefully I don’t need to face real problem next time, but still talking is the least tired. That’s why I don’t have to continue to type my answers. That’s a great relief!

Chp. 6

It’s four days after the weak which my microphone malfunctioned. Today, I am just like the past week, having Zoom lessons. But I am just having Zoom lesson, not hearing Didado or Sam shouting, nor dealing with my microphone and camera, then typing everything.

I am always writing pieces of writing, so I can show them to my classmates. I shared a piece of writing three days ago and suddenly my English teacher showed my page to the whole class! I was amazed and she even sad this sentence: “Please go to this page and read these writings. They are amazing. I like them really much. Especially the idea of different chapters and episodes. I hope he will continue to write more amazing and super writings. Here’s the link. Please visit it and read the writings” And she send out a link of my website.

I am really amazed about her action and I messaged her and asked her why she did this, and she told me that it’s Friday and it’s reading period and she doesn’t want others to slack off, so she decided to give my blog to my classmates. She also said that she wanted to support me, so she decided to start with the class. She even told me to share my latest writing to the class, so I decided to share my last writing to my English teacher. She said she loved it and gave me a lot of comments and also helped me improve my writing, and I am very grateful for what she did. She said she sent an email to me via the “get in touch” button and I replied her. In her email, she gave me a whole list of suggestions, and a bank of words. She even sent a complete series of sentence structures! Most of the words and sentences in this writing are from my English teacher. I am soooooooooooooooo thankful for her support.

After the lesson, I had private Zoom lessons with her and she taught me much more different suggestions, information and knowledge.
